Arthur has spent a lifetime proving that almost anything can be repaired with a roll of tape, a screwdriver, and the kind of confidence that makes everyone else step back slightly.
Known to family and friends as Artie, he built shelves that leaned with personality, fixed appliances that probably should have been left alone, and gave every job his own official inspection, whether invited or not.
At work, he was dependable, practical and famously impossible to rush. If Arthur said a job would take five minutes, the family understood that meant anywhere between half an hour and next Tuesday.
Retirement has not slowed him down. It has simply given him more time to reorganise screws, label jars, lose the labels, and tell everyone the modern world would be much better if people stopped throwing away “perfectly good bits of wood.”
